If anyone is rude to me I close in for a fiery explosion of anger that inevitably results in much more drama than just letting it go. I have this problem where I keep escalating a conflict, so if I encounter someone who works the same way it becomes a shitshow really quickly. It’s not logical, as I will expend more time energy and money to punish them than anything I have to gain from the process. Like one time my neighbor really rudely told me not to park across from their driveway. So I bought another car just to leave there 24/7 for nearly five years until they moved.
Thankfully when you hardly ever leave the house and don’t meet new people, there aren’t many chances for them to be rude to you.
That’s offline tho. Online if I think someone is disrespectful or an idiot I usually just block or ignore them. The Internet has an endless supply of idiots, you can’t stomp them all.
It’s always been one of the main reasons I like Hannibal Lecter as a character. That black orderly worked with him for years and was never in any danger, because he was unfailingly polite. Lecter doesn’t kill anyone who doesn’t give him cause, and in ridding the world of the rude he makes it better for everyone.
So I don’t have any haters IRL, no. Unless you count a courier I have been feuding with for a year now. Pretty sure he hates me by now.
