I can type really fast, I constantly hit 100wpm but i average around 80-95. Mind you I'm a nigger and the average typing speed at my university is 32 wpm, including the IT students

Yes, I'm in the top small percentile of people in the world with an ability. I discovered it completely by accident. It's not something I'll mention on the remote chance of doxxing, but I can say that, based on the results of a test I've volunteered to do, I've been invited to a group for people with this ability (I didn't join), and university researchers have contacted and asked me if I'm willing to be a subject in their research (I didn't respond to that either).
From what I've studied looking into it, researchers don't know exactly how rare this is in people. Some of them believe that everyone's brain can do this to some degree and it falls in a normal distribution, but past a certain point in the tail end it becomes like a superpower of sorts. This is all fairly new and we still hardly know anything about it. I have my own ideas on the matter, but I could easily be wrong (even experts can be, tbh).
For the longest time I thought the ability was normal and that everyone had it (might be true, if some of the researchers are correct). I don't believe that I'm special - I'm not, because if millions of others even out of billions can have this, then it can't be that fucking great - but it is a comforting cope of a sort, I suppose.

I don't think for a talent you have to be the very best, just significantly better than average.
But there is no place for mediocracy. And we are talking about talents, not hobbies
