Thinks like visual novels and such. They help me a lot because I can pretend to be someone who is wanted, and kind of experience it second-hand.

I learned japanese just to read more visual novels, im kinda obsessed now.

Any suggestions on starting to learn Japanese?

I use wanikani to learn the kanji, $8 a month tho. I learned the grammar from high school, i just occassionally have to look up help. Im still not super good but I am learning. there are plenty of translated japanese VNs though. I like reading the japanese ones since they seem to know their audience is lonely people, and make you feel like you have a lot of friends and love interests. American ones dont really grasp the concept
