If you've seen any sci-fi classic, you won't like it. Most people watch zero sci-fi movies and then enjoy the few that become popular outside of the fandom, just because it's new to them. It's the same for every other genre. I also dislike the cheesy retrowave aesthetics, for example the opening theme seems like a worse version of Wanna Fight from Only God Forgives.
