Family (I took likes, because loves is too strong tbh) and I've CHOsen acquaintces, because I can't tell I have friends, but if I ask or invite them, they don't reject, but we have little similar things in common except for being rejected for not being mindless sheeps

My dad genuinely loves and cares about me. My mom kind of does, but my sister hates the ground I walk on. My brother and I are ok, but not close. I've never said I love him or anything. He's like 15 years older than me.

My "friend" of 20 years erased me from his life about a year ago because we had some differing opinions on social / political issues... he started it, I finished it, etc. Also, after my mother died and the funeral happened or whatever, my extended family (whom I barely knew anyway - rarely seen them throughout my life) took my grandmother away from her home / state and moved her down south to live with them all. All my extended family live very close-range to each other, whereas my brother and I do not. Now that it's been more than a couple of years since all that happened, we haven't spoke / had any contact since. It's clearly intentional.

My mother / grandmother were the only reason they ever came "up" and saw us - but they always ignored / dismissed us. Bad-blood between family is what caused all this... years of building up - and even tho myself and my brother had no direct influence / were the issue - we were still looked at as the "black sheep" of the whole family. That fact alone made it easy for everyone to abandon us. Well, I say... good fucking riddance.
