I admit that a conservative society is healthier in the long run, as monogamy leads to structured families and thus stable children with strong values. Religion ties society together and deters people from descending into nihilism, hedonism, and existential crisis. Conservatism expects women to behave in a more proper way and discourages fornication.

However, I also realize that it would be no fun if conservatism reigned supreme. People would go to church every Sunday, drinking and smoking would be outlawed, violent games would be prohibited, there would be a restriction on what type of music we could listen to, and even the sex would bore us out, since wild sex is out of question for many conservatives.

So I am divided between wanting conservatism and enjoying the fun life that liberalism provides.
