What I've learned about myself is that unless I'm forced to do it I won't do it. My default state is lying in bed with my laptop, not leaving the house for months. I've done that for years and years, just rotting. My point in saying this is that I hope you're not like me, don't wait for life to force you to go out and wageslave before you are around people. Shit, even when I'll start wageslaving soon, I probably still will avoid people after work, that's what I've done all my life in uni, school etc...
So, unless you're willing to force yourself out of the comfort zone and actually feel uncomfortable but at least around people, slowly overcoming it, then it won't ever get better. I'm a weak man, I'll rot alone till I die cause I am so lazy and addicted to doing nothing, to just lying in bed consuming media. Yes probably. Having friends as an adult and somehow finding a GF or being in a relationship seems very foreign to me now. Even if i had the latter i don't think i would feel comfortable with it. I would probably be more happy if i could pump and dump.

I had thought by now (realistically) I'd have made some money to moneymaxx and then was planning on betabuxxing with a mother with a daughter so i could play the long step-daughtermaxx game but I'm still so poor I can't even financially take care of myself so that option is a no go.
