I think that there is a mentalcelling aspect to inceldom and NEETing / ERing that is linked to having thin skin. A lot of ugly people are able to take heat when their looks are mocked or criticized without feeling personally attacked, but when I was a teenager I felt my blood boil everytime I was teased for my deformities.

I think this is linked to religion. If you're religious you'll view the soul as the most important thing in yourself, the rest being seen as vanity. But if you're an atheist your body becomes as important as your mind if not more important.

Low IQ thread perhaps, but I've definitely noticed that some uggos remain calm and composed when their looks are directly or indirectly criticized, while it gives others the desire to go on a murderous rampage. These "uncle Tom" uggos are thus able to retain a social circle and sometimes get lucky with a girl on their level.

Low IQ thread indeed, but no shit of course u would. But u get used to people ignoring and being the bunt of the joke all the time. But since I’m ugly I can find any imperfections on someone and roast them back doesn’t work on good looking people.

I didn't because I was well aware of my issue.

You think being ugly is bad? It's not. I have had cystic acne for 15 years. Nothing worked, not even Roacutan.

This means I'm not just ugly. I'm disgusting. My face has pus on it. It's always inflamed and red. I feel like a leper, like a diseased person. Tarnished, tainted.

This is not something people can look past.

I'm too old to get seriously mocked for my looks. in high school yes, but grown adults aren't usually bullying people. to their face at least. as an atheist yes the body is equal to the mind and i don't believe in a spirit.

when i get insulted i wanna kill... i am fucking tired of that shit just one reason why i am NEET

yes that's why ad hominem sucks it works because the person getting attacked would get emotional in turn losing the argument I need to low inhib max to prevent it

I feel offended but come to terms with it because they are right

I've never been merciless teased because of my looks, but if someone comments I'd prefer they be honest. Getting back-handed compliments like, "you're not that bad," or "I'm sure someone will find you attractive" are more annoying than just being told, "Yes, you're kind of ugly. Sucks for you."

As long as they're not mean about it, I prefer to be told I'm ugly rather than good looking. When I am told I am good looking it sounds incredibly patronizing - like I'm not only ugly but stupid as well.

How so? The phenomenon I'm describing is defo real. I'm dining outdoors right now and I see a lot of ugly men part of friend groups. They have accepted their place humbly.

No, because I’m not a fifteen year old female. I realize my ugliness, and understand it’s distracting.

Depends on why they're telling me. If it's to mock me or shame me, then, yeah, it pisses me off, and I want to stab them in the face with a pencil. If it's sorta matter of fact or we're talking about looks in general, then no. And I'm an atheist fwiw.

I do, but to be fair is doesn't happen that often. I'm not that ugly, unattractive describes me better than ugly.

I feel pretty vulnerable speaking to +7/10 people because they can potentially dismiss my entire point in an instant with a simple ad hominem against my looks which would be socially "validated" by the sheer magnitude of their social capital.

I've never been really criticised on my looks as I don't socialise enough.
And on the off chance when someone took a dig at my appearance I usually ignored it, legit couldn't care less.
