Do you ever feel like some people in the media, government, etc are just kind of sad?

Things they do are often framed as just their job or necessary or whatever but... I dunno. Often they just strike me as so sad like they've got nothing better to do than obsess over dumb things, attack people, etc.

For some reason it's like just because someone is getting paid for something we have to see it as impressive.
