Yeah that's the thing here. Unless you're rich, it's hard to afford. Of course when I went to the States I overdid it. 1.75 litre bottles of vodka: 13 bucks. A 750ml of flavoured vodka: 8 bucks. That amount would run you almost 100 here.

Can't move. It's not all bad here. Plus if I move somewhere just to drink that'll be the end in no time.

It works for a while, ngl. But as your tolerance goes up, your alcoholism gets worse. Pretty soon a bottle of jack will do nothing. Your depression will go up and down, worsening with hangovers. You'll have a first few good months but if it becomes a lifestyle, you're fucked. You're also hard wiring your brain to use alcohol to deal with anxiety which will make kicking that much harder. I'd say don't do it.
