I seriously doubt it. I don't even think states like NK would be willing to spark a world war.

The concept of total mobilization and total war, and gigantic front operations like the Eastern Front of WW2 are an abstraction for both modern elites and normies. Fighting world war is simply a massive headache that's not worth it, not even for states with expansionist and multipolar tendencies.

I don't even think most major arms companies would benefit would total world wars, as most of them specialize in highly advanced military technology meant for fighting limited wars. Even with subsidies I don't see them wanting to transition to mass production.

Israel as of rn benefits from using its own nuclear arsenal as a deterrent and having the US backing it. MAD prevents any country opposing Israel to destroy it with nukes. The Israelis have nothing to gain from starting a nuclear war that’ll utterly vaporize the human civilization that they’ve been leeching off of to survive for millennia. First worlds are too comfortable and have too much to lose to do actual full blown wars yet, and the world is too interconnected already that there isn't really much to gain from world wars for powerful countries. World wars happened when there were uncharted territories and a lot more to gain compared to what they had before. Now if we start running out of resources like food or water, or most of the land mass is becoming unusable then yeah. If we are able to migrate to the moon or mars then yeah another world war might break out.
