I have no idea what caused the big bang but what I do know is that life on earth is possible because it is somewhat close to the sun. If the earth was too close to the sun, we all die, if it is too far, then we all freeze to death, earth is in the perfect position. Awhile ago, I heard from scientists that asteroids carrying DNA landed on earth and when the DNA was released into water, lightning struck the genetic material and life was created in the form of microorganisms. Keep in mind that these are educated guesses made by scientists.
