I believe there were far fewer incels in the 1990s. Keep in mind this was a time when you weren't constantly being compared to superChads all over the world via social media. You also weren't having to complete with every asshole Chad for 100 miles via online dating. Women had much smaller pools to choose from because without technology aiding them in sourcing Chads they would have to give lesser men a chance lest they simply end up alone because back then hypergamy wasn't smiled upon nearly as much as it is today. Being a slut wasn't some sort of fucked up foid social status thing prior to the late 2000s.

If you were around 50th to 40th percentile it was still hard but most average guys that were 5ft8+ got slim average girls.
Today only the the top 20-30% of men get hot and slim average girls in their primes. Heightism is more vapid. Fat women more valued. Average guys undervalued. Its a fucking disaster.
