There has been several factors causing me to believe but I think a big one has been seeing modern day jews behaving similarly to the ones who called for His crucifixion. No, I am an atheist. I have always been as far back as I could remember because the concept of god or gods always seemed too farfetched for me for it to be real.

I have nothing against religion or religious people, just that I cannot convince myself that god exists.

The most realistic depiction of a god to me would be the deists of the 18th century. If god exists, he probably would not care about the personal lives of some creatures on a random planet in the universe like Earth. He is too busy doing "god things" to bother about your personal happiness or anybody else's as he has an entire universe to run. In this case, the creator of the universe is not "good" or "evil" just distant and impersonal.

This is a misunderstanding of what God is. There's no "too busy". He's literally omnipotent. He has infinite processing power. Ever hear of those massive stars, the ones that are more than a thousand times as big as our sun? Imagine all the compute it would take to simulate those objects and all the interactions between individual atoms. For God, it is nothing. He never gets exhausted, never overextends. God has plenty of power left over to care about us.
