I think it goes deeper than simply believing in a god, what makes it even lower IQ in my eyes is the fact that someone would blindly follow and worship an all knowing, omnipotent and omnipresent being without question.
And without realizing how utterly small their existence would be if this were to be real, and especially all of of the suffering that has always existed. They never have a good answer for all this suffering that actually makes sense.
They use the free will argument which doesn’t work because God would’ve known it was all gonna happen, but let it happen anyways.
You’re essentially a toy in a sandbox and you’d practically be accepting that. When you point this out, theists look at you like you’re stupid.
Why would we owe such an evil, tyrannical being worship and loyalty? What do I truly get out of it? I didn’t ask to exist, was completely fine when I wasn’t alive. I did not ask to be anyone’s toy to observe and be commanded.
