i think they're referring to belief in god as belief in moral superiority to begin with, whereas the belief in nothing, aka in lack of morality, is the belief in the immoral. i dont even know if they mean to be literal when they say you'll be damned, more like the belief in nothing already condemns you, but i havent read the bible so thats just my assumption
