Instead of religion-coping I would recommend gratitude-coping.- What I do is I look at news from third-world countries & photos, where everyone is starving and they have nothing to do all day; they just sit there in the dust...- and I come away with a feeling of relief, and intense gratitude for how good I've got it.

It's basically:- instead of comparing yourself to people whose lives are going better than yours, you compare with people whose lives are much worse.- It lets you develop a real appreciation for what you have
