Discussion do u guys go to theatres to watch movies?

I try to enjoy my life, one of the many things I like doing is watching movies in the big screen. Today i went to see project hail mary (good movie). As I was climbing up the stairs making my way to my seat i noticed literally everyone was a couple, not one single guy like me sitting alone jfl. I finally realised why some incels on discord used to call me a normie for going to the movies. Yes its nothing new, always seen couples in theatres but occasionally i'd see some guys by themselves but recently almost everyone has a gf. Probably because incels refuse to go out anymore and get smacked in the face with reality if they do. I remember one time when I was a teenager I went to see a movie alone my seat was next to a foid and there was another empty seat near her and as soon as I sat down she got up and moved to the next seat jfl.

I have only been to the movies once this year. I went and saw Iron Lung. So I do enjoy going from time to time. I actually prefer going alone because there aren’t any distractions. Though I do feel awful when I see couples or friends together in the theater

I'm pretty sure there haven't been any decent movies in like 12 years, but I don't even keep up with it. Haven't been to a newly released movie in a theater since 2013, and I used to go every week back in 1999-2000. I saw an 80s movie in a theater last year but that doesn't count.

Maybe it's because I'm over 40 now and just lost interest in things like new movies and new music. I don't think I've purposely listened to a new song in almost 5 years. There are thousands of songs from the 1950s-80s I haven't heard yet, so why would I listen to new slop?

another thing is when I used to go to movies with my mom, sometimes it would be uncomfortable. Like maybe there's a sex scene or some scene that made me cry. It's kinda awkward bawling your eyes out with your mom sitting next to you and she knows you're crying.

So I preferred going alone too.

I normally just stream stuff at home, but I will go to the cinema if it's a film I really want to see. I try to go outside of peak hours. You're less likely to bump into couples as there are less people.

I used to like going to the movies but mow ive kinda grew up in a sense and just see it all as corporate slop then predict the ending 30 minutes into the movie due to the fact they all share such a similar structure.
