Yes, I also see them all the time. Short women produce short sons. If the dad is tall, the son will probably reach average height, but it's very rare for sons of tall fathers and short mothers to end up tall as well. Tall height is a recessive trait, so generally speaking, the main way for a son to reach/surpass his dad's tall height, would be if the mother is also tall.

Depends on the foid and partner's genes. If they're a short foid from a tall family, then their children might be tall. If they pick a tall partner then their children could be anywhere from short to tall. Also if the tall partner is from a short family, the children may inherit those short genes as well.

But in all likelihood the short foid is from a short family which would place downward pressure on the childrens' height potential.
