It makes me think of the expression don't put all your eggs in one basket. Also I think it's bad to even put MOST of your eggs in one basket!

Or if that girlfriend or boyfriend leaves, you've got very little left.

Some people do it with their careers too and other things.

I guess it's less harmful if you have skills that you can transfer out, like in the workforce or the dating market.

If I ever have a girlfriend I'd probably be obsessed about her, I think it's natural to be dependent emotionally on a girl if you're dating her and serious about it.

Yes, and they're CUCKS for it too.

Yes but it’s only normal to be dependent on your partner. After all, it’s not natural to only love for your own hobbies and yourself. Love and companionship are necessary in life and we are without them.

Most of you would be some of the clingiest motherfuckers ever to exist if you finally got a gf and were loved. You’d be as desperate as starving African children at McDonald’s. Not saying I’d be much different

Yeah. It is kinda cucked for the many reasons you described. Some people rope when their partner leaves or cheats on them. It happened to a rapper called Lil Loaded. Bro got cheated on and shot himself after finding out.

Yeah and considering how easy it is to end a romantic relationship or cheat nowadays it's quite stupid.

True. Men are hopeless romantics by nature. We're hardwired to provide for and protect women. We're hardwired to be extremely attached. We're hardwired to mate guard. This is not to say women don't get attached sometimes, but it's certainly not to the extent that we do. We all know the divorce statistics and who is filing for divorce in 80 percent of cases.

This is why nearly all of the guys I've known who got cheated on and found out about it stayed. They stayed even after she continued to cheat even after he found out. Lots of guys will even stay when their wife/girlfriend gets pregnant with another man's baby, as in even after he finds out the baby isn't his.

It's simply our nature. Most guys will tell you they'd leave if they caught their girlfriends cheating, but when push comes to shove and they find out about it, they stay anyways.

Women are like that to men they truly love as well. Emphasis on "truly love." The hardwiring is useful and positive if it was used the way it was intended to. It's a shame social media and the internet killed that.

I can't understand the cheating part though. even if I was in love with a girl, if she cheated on me, I would lose all attraction I had. Part of it coming from the fact that there's a mutual belief that you "own" each other in the relationship, which gets destroyed if you find out she cheated on you. I think most regular men would leave if they weren't bound to a women by kids or a marriage.

That's why you see so many animals in the wild murder their mate if they see her doing shit with another one of their pack. It's in male nature to want to kill, or at least break off any feelings he had if the female goes and fucks some other male.
