Male bees all congregate to a certain area and white for queen virgins to appear. When such a virgin queen appears, hundreds of males fly after her to be the first to mate with her.

Then the virgin bee will continue on to mate with one or two dozen other males on her first night out. Sometimes she will come back another night to get railed by another gang of male bees.

All in all for any male bee, there is a 1 in 1000 chance of being succesful, and then you die right after.
