Mostly yes, but there are levels, american parents expect you to start earning money as soon as you hit 18. My parents allowed me to stay with them and they agreed to bear my tuition fees, all the rest I had to manage my own through wage-slaving.
Btw, this is very rare among american curries, I have seen curry guys staying with their parents as late as in their 30s, most of them even don't work, they stay at home and study, and parents support their children until they finish their college degrees, so they stay as beta baby curries like until they hit 25. As far as I know he didn't do anything. His parents live in some random mobile home and take drugs like no tomorrow. As soon as they could stop spending money on him they jumped for it.
Only reason we didn't house him is because we didn't know until after the fact.

I don't want to be judgemental, but having children while not being able to afford a better place than a mobile home to raise them is both degenerate and criminal.
Some mobile homes are actually super nice. I'm working on moving and I actually looked at some. It's low cost and worth it if you don't mind living with people really close by. Often times mobile homes are taken up by those who are retiring actually.
But then there's trashy mobile homes, and I can't blame anyone for assuming all of them are like that.
Not all families can afford great housing. I personally think as long as you can provide your child with love, food, and stability, the house doesn't matter.

To live alone in a mobile home is a thing. I do think a mobile home is a very good alternative to rent cucking if you live alone and don't consume above your needs. I did consider that option as well tbh

Drugs do crazy things to someone. Apparently growing up his parents were great but the opiod epidemic hit them HARD. Addiction takes over someone and it changes them.
Not to defend anyone though, kicking him out at 18 so they could pay for more drugs was absolutely disgusting. But in Appalachian areas where the opiod epidemic is hitting the hardest I wouldn't be surprised if this happened more often.
Asian-American parents don't, since they want their kids to pursue higher education. However, if you're a lazy shit it could be a different story. Plus graduating college and then saving money on rent and utilities by living at home is financially wise.
I'm lucky I'm in an Asian household since it's not that much of a big deal if u still live with ur parents , And u can semi neet around as long as u CAn withstand the insults from cousins n uncles
