Afaik the poster basically said military recruits kids basically, people fresh out of high school and they suddenly start making decent money (for their age) and have no idea what to do with it. Then the guy is being deployed abroad to a foreign base or warzone, leaving a 21 or 22 year old woman at home. If the couple didn't have kids, it was an almost guaranteed recipe for infidelity.
