What do you mean by empathy.

If you mean putting someone’s emotions over reason then it’s bad, if you see that someone is reasonably in bad situation then it’s not empathy tho, it’s just not being a sadist.

Like if you see someone cries, is it enough if you understand cognitively he is sad? Then fine.

But if empathy is only when you feel his sadness and come and help him no matter what, despite your own schedule, not caring about reason of the cry just caring about the emotion? Then it’s unhealthy
