All messages are reviewed by ai to see if its safe or not therefore discord has access to the messages that were alleged to be fully encrypted so that therefore proves the lied and paired with the fact that there such a big company there listening in on every conversation and training aiwith peoples texts so im moving to matrix or another application similar to it for if i ever need to message someone although I’ll definitely miss going on random discord servers and trolling might see if theres a way i can stay anonymous on there but i prolly cant which really sucks

There is nothing wrong with wanting to use the best technology available. In fact, I recommend that. I used to be a huge FOSS-freak myself. I even ran my own Matrix instance a couple of years ago. But eventually you have to weigh the pros and cons, and what will win out each time are the platforms where people actually are, and the platforms that are reliable and have the features people want and need. It would be awesome to see people move to a federated internet but unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. Still, it has been cool to see all the interest for Linux and FOSS people seem to have developed as of late. But it has a long way to go, that is all I'm trying to say.

Yes just the fact that it csn see your ip or even is connected to the internet means it most likely can be recovered by just about any intelligence agency

tor and VPNs are frequently used for spambots and DDoS attacks so if this place were to allow tor, it would need a more robust anti-bot filter which is expensive and takes a lot of power use, makes the site slower to load and we would need to jump through more hoops just to post a comment or browse a page, and this site could be shut down for lack of compliance
