How many times did this happen to you, where your family, usually mother, is starting up a major scandal where they are screaming and teary-eyed and basically asking insistently for an explanation as to why you're so low on dopamine and motivation that you've basically given up while still in your teens.

And they're not singling out anyone else or blaming anyone else, but you.

This thing where the new world rears its ugly head, slowly starting to deprive and destroy the most isolated and vulnerable first, and your parents start shaking you back and forth angrily demanding an explanation, not sure of what's going on but knowing that something is wrong and someone needs to be held responsible and someone needs to answer.
Somehow trying to force the issue to get to the bottom of things, but you don't have the answers, and if you did and gave it to them, they wouldn't take such heavy answers from you anyway... after all you're just a child.
