I heard this term 2.6 years ago having little info but it was 11 months ago I got to know it fully. As for blackpill, I was sort of blackpilled from very early age though I never heard this term nor know what all this is called until some months ago.
Can you elaborate further your very first impressions of the word? Like did you only hear it in context to murderous white men, or were you from the very beginning hearing the word being used in a nuanced way?

I came to know this term through a post someone posted on Facebook. I didn't know that incel stands for involuntary celibate and considered it a slang not short form. As for reaction, the word sounded catchy to me not disturbing because I didn't find in the context of ER but I didn't try to inquire further because I was obsessed with something else that time.

It’s been 3 or 4 years. I coped through MGTOW and made fun of incels for awhile until I realized I was a incel.
Sodini introduced me to the blackpill. ER is the patron saint of youngcels.

In a way it's been good that incels have been quarantined here. This site is a much better cope than r9k, even when r9k was decent. Inceldom is in exciting times. Back in the day there wasn't really a lot of guys like FaceandLMS or other content creators to make the ideas aggressive and edgy.
It was a time when the incel world was just kind of emo. There was a time when we didn't even talk about the reasons WHY we were incels. We just shared lonely thoughts.

I ended up in an incel/redpill community in 2017 and from there I discovered the incel world. My mind quickly realized that I was one of them, and I was slightly blackpilled already. Watching the pig woman experiments and Chadfishes had a big impact on me.
The biggest impact on me, was just the constant rejection, and being treated like shit from women, even in a platonic way.

Within the context of inceldom, I feel "lucky" to have witnessed ER posting on PUAHate and having seen EurasianTiger release the BlackPillComics live on Sluthate.
Although I think that recent AM tape is fake, within the incel mythos, if he really did have conversations with ER, and Christopher-Mercer, that would be epic.

Back in high school I got threated bad by female classmates but I still thought that not all women are like that, that shy girls existed, and no Juggernaut law, although I had my suspicious that look was the only thing that mattered. Everything became clear shortly after joining the incel world.

First memory of the word incel was from r/incels back in early 2017. Can’t exactly be sure as to where i found it but I’m pretty sure it was from the misc
I only knew about Elliot Rodger & MGTOW, I was more interested in other things.
I remember it pretty clearly, April 2018 through r9k.

I learned about incels through lookism.net that was like 16 months ago.
God it feels like I have been identifying as an incel for a lifetime yet I have no even been in this community for a year.
