I am a woman and I disagree. I would never date a virgin at my age and it has nothing to do with his insecurity about it. First off it's way too big a task to me personally to date a guy that doesn't know how to have a relationship. I don't want to have to be his teacher and help him learn the milestones of life that he missed and should have experienced earlier. I have too little time on this earth to be teaching a grown man how to have a relationship, how to have sex, how to treat his partner. I am looking for a PARTNER not a student.
Second, if no other woman has ever wanted him, why would I? I can take a hint from other women that there is obviously something going on with this guy if he has never had sex before. Sex is just such a natural part of life. It's like meeting a full grown adult who doesn't know how to drive a car, like what rock did you just crawl out from? It's too alien. SOMETHING has kept every other woman in his life from having sex with him, and I am not about to be the next one to find out what that is.
Third, virgins tend to get waaaay too clingy waaaay too fast. This is kind of like point 1 but I feel this one deserves its own spot because of the inherent danger with dating clingers. Clingers easily get jealous, controlling, and abusive. A virgin is like a starved dog, and once he finally has some food in front of him he may react violently toward anything that may cause his meal to leave.
None of those points above have anything to do with how the guy feels about his virginity. He can be confident all he wants, I am not going to go for it.
