Reality is more probabilistic, which is just as bad since we need to take action anyway which is binary (either do it or don't, and there are thresholds so either it is done or not). Suppose one's probability of finding someone is P=0.000001. That is effectively 0 when considering the time and effort per discovery trial. Which comes to the next thing, even if one could optimize their discovery there will be a max number of times one can go fishing, say n=1000. Treating each as a Bernoulli trial the probability of at least one success is:

P(at least one) = 1 - (1-P)^n = 1 - (1-0.000001)^1000 = ~0.0009995

So less than 0.1% chance of success after 1k trials, effectively 0. And this is not like just going to the store and buying a lottery ticket, funny enough that may be the better strategy. It actually makes more sense to play the lottery than actively chase femoids.

It's only probabilistic from our limited viewpoint. QM is linear algebra, probability is just a matter of perspective. If every possible timeline, every possible world/universe already exists in an absolute sense, everything has already been determined.
