I don't like to try and define what I think a "man" is, but I'm glad you're happy anon and I mean that, I was certainly taught to treat women the same way and can understand where you're coming from.
I have a similar story, a 6/10 asked me to prom in highschool, it was the first time a women had approached me ever, of course said yes and we got along very well on facebook, talking to each other all night. The next day I gave her my phone number and suddenly everything went to hell, I was so nervous, but constantly asked to hear about her hobbies and interests, I wanted the conversation to be about her, when we stopped talking I thought everything was fine, its natural for us both to be a little nervous, right?
Wrong, later that day she told my cousin to tell me she changed her mind, I ended up going to prom alone since I had already bought the ticket and the tux, and the worst part was that she was by herself as well, she would rather go alone then with me.
Right there with ya guy, no more falling for the women pandering meme.

Being shy + not NT / awkward is a death sentence. Female bullying is worse than male bullying. I'd rather get jumped and get my ass kicked to be honest.

Something really insulting where I was essentially viewed as a fuckboy or something, I don't even remember exactly. I think I may have been referred to as "boy", all I know was that she was talking down to me
