Look at the history of the west pre-20th century vs after. It's not even a contest. The moment the retarded prole horde got the vote western civilization started to decline. And no, unlike what many here say it wasn't just because of women. Democracy basically destroys standards by default by making it too easy for the worthless to have their voices heard. The idea that all dictatorships are bad is also garbage since Europe at that time had plenty of fine monarchs such as the Kaisers in Imperial Germany which at the time was even more advanced than the more democratic French and British.
