Yeah several psychopaths have been outed. I believe in justice and patriarchy, but not psychopathy.

If she is unruly and won't change her bad behavior despite her husband warning her, then she deserves to be disciplined AKA slapped or spanked, but no real harm or physical damage.

If she cheated on him, then a beating would be morally justified although not nearly as severe as the one she received.

However there is no proof presented that she cheated on him or was unruly and uncooperative. The guy was just a deranged lunatic.
