Considering 99.99% of people go through multiple "relationships", destroying their emotions and pair-bonding, I'd say society is already fucked. 

People are sad and lonely, loyalty and GENUINE love hardly exists, 33% of Americans have STDs, "breakups" are as common as the rising sun... I'd say we're already pretty fucked. I'm just sitting here waiting for a civil war or worldwide nuclear war.

One person may only wish to protect and care for his family. Another may only want to care of himself.
