Juggernaut Law is the idea that men often pursue ugly mates before more attractive ones because the former are perceived as being easier. Although rarerly discussed in polite company, any heterosexual male with normal testosterone balance is well aquainted with this unspoken rule.
The majority of men (not all) experience sexual desire for women of all types. If we could see each other's thoughts we'd quickly realize that - of the women guys regularly masturbate to - some are pretty, some ugly and some are simply in between.
However, as an ugly man with low self-esteem, I find that my fantasies almost never involve women more attractive than myself. In fact, since the onset of puberty I've primarily masturbated to women that one might charitably call less than ideal. I'm talking morbidly obese, elderly and crippled, not the "nerdy" nice chick with a bit of acne and a gut. 90% of the time my indulgence lies at the very bottom of the genetic pile, and my hunch is that embarrassing numbers of men can relate.
Sheer horniness aside, this practice is rooted in a harmful belief that we're not deserving of anything better - the end result of being told by both men and women that we should "stick to girls within our league."
Afterall, ugly women are less shallow than the pretty ones, right? Sadly, this is wrong and only serves to keep certain men from reaching their full potential. More importantly, rejection from ugly women will damage your self-esteem more severely than rejection from others precisely because uggmos are supposed to "like you for who you are."
A common caution against money maxxing in the pursuit of beautiful women is that they'll never truly love you. But what difference does it make when the same is true of ugly women? I'd submit that ugly women exhibit greater hostility to incels than their more attractive counterparts.
The recent rejection, and subsuquent hurt, I received from a looks and personality matched friend has made me aware of how my low standards in women are holding me back. I shouldn't feel so sad about this, but I know a large part of why I feel this way is because I feel I'm undeserving of anything better.
For some of us, the possibility of sleeping with beautiful women will become a necessary motivator for money and looks maxxing. Yes, it's a cope but it's far greater life fuel than searching for an uggmo, just to realize later that she's only slightly...yes, slighlty...easier to bed than a Stacy. If you're gonna put in the hard work of getting women you might as well go for the attractive ones first.
