This is how the modern dating scene looks like in MMA/boxing terms:
10/10 men - champions
9/10 - contenders
8/10 - gatekeepers
4/10-7/10 - journeymen
1/10-3/10 - tomato cans
If you're not familiar with the term journeyman:
In boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts, a journeyman is a fighter who has adequate skill but is not of the caliber of a contender or gatekeeper.
Also this:
Journeymen boxers float "from promoter to promoter, or manager to manager, hoping to get placed as opponents in fights" by promoters, and making very little money. They will "fight all the time, anywhere, in order to make enough money to get by." In earlier testimony to the committee, it had been reported that some journeymen boxers regard themselves as existing in the sport solely as "a body for better men to beat on."
You could rephrase that for the dating scene perfectly:
Sub-8 men float from cold approach to cold approach, from one dating app to another, hoping to get matched, and getting very little sex. They will date any woman, anytime, anywhere, in order to get enough sex to get by. It had been reported that some sub-8 men regard themselves as existing in the dating market solely as "a body for better men to mog."
Meanwhile incels are tomato cans:
A "tomato can" is usually a fighter with a poor record, whose skills are substandard or who lacks toughness or has a "glass chin."
When it comes to dating scene:
An incel is usually a male with a poor facial structure, whose looks are substandard or who lacks height or has a "recessed chin."
Just like in boxing and MMA, only the top tier elite men are getting anything out of it, the rest are just bodies for better men to beat on/mog.
