Also one thing i noticed is that for the most part (again it's not universal) people and officials talk about rights of some conscript or mobilized man in relation to the rights of his familiy - the right of his kids to a father, the right of his wife and kids to be provided for, etc. Almost never do we hear about the rights of some particular man as an autonomus human. We don't have this discussion. I'm sure this is how it is in most other countries as well.
