They had children even though they were poor. They had the excuse of poverty available to not reproduce, but they did it anyway and that's what's heroic. Yet they got arrested for being poor parents. We should idealize the way they parented. We should have millions of Americans living like that. They should've been celebrated and perhaps even considered parents of the year instead of getting arrested. I feel like poverty tests your faith - do you actually believe you should multiply even despite poverty?
