for those of you who have not seen it, it’s probably the most legendary moment in esports/fighting game scene

he was at 1 hit away from dieng, and in street fighter unless you perfectly block the attack you still take some damage.

when chun li throws her ult, he has half a second to get into the correct frame to block it then blocks fucking 14 more and ends the game with his ult. He had to predict chun lis ult parry it, then get into the perfect frame for 14 more and time or so he parries them one slip up and he lost.

Yeah he had to memorize every single frame of chun lis kicks and parry each one perfectly to not take any damage. If he just blocked he would have died because some damage goes through
