Man Masturbates On Woman's Face in Moving Train While She Was Asleep, Arrested

A 47-year-old man in Goa allegedly masturbated on the face of a female passenger on the train on Tuesday while she was sleeping, Following the incident, the accused was arrested, police said.
The incident happened on Tuesday morning at around 7.30 a.m, near Gokarna Railway Station in Karnataka. Inspector Sunil Gudlar of Konkan Railway Police, Goa said that when the woman was sleeping, the accused came near her and started masturbating on her face. When two of her male friends who were travelling with her noticed the act, they dialled an emergency number and the police eventually took action.
The accused person has been identified as Dattatray Chavan from Maharashtra’s Sangli, who works at Kannur in Kerala.
Commenting on the incident, Inspector Gudlar told IANS that the woman (22) was travelling on Poorna Express along with her two male friends, who also belonged to the same age group.
“They are into cinematography and were on their way from Kerala to Goa to shoot some videos,” the police officer said.
“The woman is from Keralas Kozhikode. We learnt that she was feeling safe after the accused was apprehended. We are further investigating the case,” police added.
