I’ve noticed that in online discussions about looks or “SMV” (sexual market value), South Asian men often get grouped together and ranked at the bottom. But I feel like Pakistani men are different from the stereotype, many look Middle Eastern, with fairer skin and sharper features, similar to their neighbours- Afghans or Iranians.

For example, my own boyfriend is Pakistani, and he has that kind of look, nice, fair, and sharp features that look very Middle Eastern.

What confuses me is why Pakistani men get lumped in with Indian and Bangladeshi men when it comes to attractiveness stereotypes. Is it just because outsiders see all of South Asia as one group, or is there more to it?

And here’s the kicker, there was actually a survey by MissTravel where Pakistani men ranked 3rd sexiest nationality in the world (after Irish and Australians). That’s a huge contrast to the “lowest SMV” stereotype you see online.

there generally seems to be two types of pakis. the one with sharp features and soft features, and no in betweens

Pashtuns are genetically similar to Kashmiris and Punjabi Jats. They are basically curry just slightly more Iran-shifted.

I'd say Pashtuns, Punjabis (mostly Jats and Khatris), Kashmiris and Paharis are the upper cream of curries in terms of SMV. They are the tallest in the subcontinent (Pashtuns and Jats in particular are prolly one of the tallest groups in Asia, alongside other Iranic groups and northern Chinese), as well as the most Steppe-shifted.
