TLDR: Make managers and people bear the cost of grievance lawsuits, not the corporation. Lawsuits such as sexual harassment, unfair hiring etc.
I've had several thoughts about why so many corporations are having all these feminist, women empowerment meetings. The companies are also seeding their feminist material into our games, movies, and every other facet of our society. Well, I recently learned something about the law and a little bit about lawsuit prevention. I'm summarizing for the most part of what I learned. Basically, if a corporation can prove that it is taking proactive steps to mitigate sexual harassment, and they do this that and the other, then they can claim that a sexual harassment event is an isolated incident. The corporation can then fire the person doing the harassment, and get off scot-free. It seems like, the stronger the case they can build, the less likely it is that they will be sued.
However, if a company doesn't have any "Women are the greatest" meetings with photo-ops, then the prosecution can say that it's a systemic issue or part of the corporate culture. The prosecution can say it's severe and pervasive. That the employer ( doesn't have to be executive management can just be a middle-manager over someone or an employee who the manager is cool with) knew about the incident. That the advances were unwelcome and then cha-ching$$$$.
Other things that can get a company sued include posters, comments about looks, emails, text messages, even staring at a woman in a way that makes her feel uncomfortable can also land a corporation in trouble. Mind you, its the corporation that gets sued, not the person doing it.
What is an unfortunate wealthy business owner or an executive to do? They have this dilemma where they are held responsible for the behavior of their high school drop horny warehouse workers. Well, you have seminars, open-door policies with HR where you pledge to callously fire any man for even a false allegation, lots of photo-ops of your seminars and you go above and beyond the minimum required affirmative action hiring quotas. This will prove that you are a shareholder with high moral standing.
Here is what we can do, just make the woman responsible for getting a cease and desist order. We can have some court made restraining orders where the man can't go to work anymore if a JURY and not someone from HR decides that a man did something bad to a woman. Don't hold one person accountable for another person's actions. You always get bad results when you do that.
This is my take on the root cause of and solution to corporate feminism. It is not the corporation's desire to do all this feminist shit, it is our government making it beneficial to do so.
I will admit that transferring liability would create new problems. Maybe it would make things even worse for men in the workplace. However, I do believe that this would significantly reduce the corporate workplace feminist shit. Although at a high price.
And for the women who truly are victims of real harassments or even assault, I would say that all this feminist lawsuit prevention measures has stopped many women from getting money out of the corporations that they work for. Perhaps a case of academic feminism wins, but women lose.
