Truthfully I'm not shocked. Elon first said they were going to reduce deficit waste by 2 trillion, then when they got into office said it'll be 1 trillion, and in the end Elon only reduced 10 billion then gave up. Elon probably wanted to cut funding else ware but Trump didn't let him, which is why he could be lashing out. Trump knew he wasn't going to get close to a trillion dollars reduced but let Elon keep on running with it and used Elon to help get him elected.

I believe a lot of shit should be cut (especially involving immigration and the funding/intervention of other countries) but Peelon wanted US citizens' social programs to be cut at the expense of SpaceX.
