Violent crime is most common in men among the 14-35 age group, the age range when men are looking to get laid the most and in their reproductive prime. It gradually declines every year thereafter. There's a reason you don't generally see 65 year old gangbangers.
Criminal offenders also had more reproductive partners, were less often married, more likely to get remarried if ever married, and had more often contracted a sexually transmitted disease than non-offenders. Importantly, the increased reproductive success of criminals was explained by a fertility increase from having children with several different partners.
In a similar study I read, one 22 year old incarcerated inmate had already fathered six children with different women. Asking a 22 year old Indian STEM graduate how many children he has fathered is putting the cart before the horse. We first have to establish that he lost his virginity, let alone fathered children. On the other hand, asking a 22 year old Tyrone inmate has he lost his virginity would just be a stupid question with an obvious answer.
