I couldn't get into the last switch because I felt lost without some form of dedicated trophy system. I know its arbitrary an I don't even go for 100% regardless, but I'd still rather have them.

I had no motive playin those switch games without trophies tbh, no motive to do the shrines in zelda for instance. Not to mention the screen quality an performance looked like shit. Even my 500p old arse Vita looked better.

Well, Nintendo always has been the "special" kid in the console industry and i dont think that will change.

I don't even play nintendo games anymore unless it's emulated atp.
I'm probably going to buy a Playstation 4 and get a Playstation 5 later on cause I'm not really into PC games.
If I bought a PC I'd probably get it to play sonic and mario fan games.

BOTW only happened because it was necessary to make Zelda halfways decent again after the hack Aounuma was allowed to fuck it up and ruin it for two decades.

It will coast on the legacy of the first but because Nintendo is arrogant now they have become overconfident and stupid so the games will be even worse leading to them failing with the Switch 2’s eventual successor unless they change course by becoming hungry again.

This, either find a job or get a hobby where you have some sort of progress like drawing or learning something. It seems that you want to use games to satisfy your need of getting achievements that should be satisfied in real life.

Games like mario kart without achievements, u complete the tracks, play online for a bit an thats it.

3rd party games like persona, why even bother doing everythin possible when u can just do everythin possible on a platform with an achievement system.

Why the fuck attempt a hardcore run or gather all stupid flowers on a nintendo game without a trophy at end of it an clear progression towards 100%. Incentive is still incentive, however arbitrary that may be. Every game may as well be animal crossing which is the most boring game in existence.
