Could I have gotten permanent brain damage from the sheer amount of physical assaults I dealt with in middle school?

It got so bad that one year I was literally being abused every single day, just about every day I was having to defend myself from bullies.

Teachers saw it happen, didn’t do shit. The most they would do is sometimes move the bullies away from me but no consequences were dished out.

I was constantly being smacked in the back and front of the head just for laughs, for a while I started to wonder if I had gotten permanent brain damage from it.

I hear bone clicking in the back of my head when I move it, it’s been this way for years. Is this normal?

brutal i relate to this. my school also didn't do anything and just let me walk into a different way into school but didnt punish the bullies or anything so it kept happening.

The "bone clicking" are your neck joints.

Might figure out a way to stretch your neck muscles. It's important.

As for brain damage.

Ask a boxer. They get hundreds of hits to the face throughout their careers.
The brain does take damage. You do lose braincells for sure.

Then there is the psychological damage. You can develop PTSD from severe "bullying". What you have experienced isn't bullying anymore.

It is straight up assault and abuse.

I am still trying to gget an official PTSD diagnosis, because then I can get neetbuxx.

And I am not even pretending. That shit has left me psychologically damaged for my whole life, so it seems.

I strongly believe that I should be compensated for this.

Should have stabbed them to death as a kid instead of thinking about brain damage now. Maximum sentence would be like 7 years max in europe. :feelsPop:

Brutal. Absolutely savage. My bullying stopped (or slowed down alot more) when I was 14 and exploded a kids face with a well placed right hook. I was lucky enough to be coached in boxing by a family friend when I was around 11 due to severe bullying. I was never a violent kid, quite the opposite. Not so much anymore. Very much violent minded now but I have amazing restraint nonetheless. Don't particularly want a criminal record or prison time being the main reason behind it.

I'm sorry this has happened to you guys as a victim of it myself. I would seek whatever outcome brings you the most comfortable respite from that trauma.

Depending on the severity of the assaults and the duration which the assaults took place, then you might have suffered head injuries. Was there weapons or objects used, was it open hand blows to the head or was it proper closed fists?

Open blows to the head.

Is often the sudden head movements that cause the brain to hit the skull and produce the most noticeable brain damage and neck injuries. That being said, if you truly worry you might have suffered head injuries you should seek an appointment with a medical professional
