Even if you lost your account you start out with free cards and it's very easy to earn new ones: once you get Battlegrounds, that's a new pack of cards each week for winning just a single match.

I'd also recommend backdating calendar once you get 700 gold to unlock some of the other missions, don't pay cash for them.
