This world is so vast, there's so much to learn and know.

And yet, my depressed brain that has been rotting for more than a decade can't muster any interest towards anything.

But the will to learn is wonderful, if one could be constantly exposed to a stream of interesting information, the pain of this harsh reality could be lessened.

My question is: what kind of knowledge piques your interest? What does your brain find exciting?

Knowledge and ignorance are both double-edged swords. Too much ignorance will turn you into an oaf while too much knowledge will make you crazy.

I'll take a little of both.

sounds like we're in a similar situation, in the past I really enjoyed getting lost in a book but years of tv and internet have rotted my brain. I keep on meaning to start reading again but its hard

I like Richard Dawkins books, or maybe something like Malcolm Gladwell

just larp as a scientist on wikipedia until you can skim scientific papers and get something out of it, I think it's easier to do this with things like biology, animal behavioral studies, evopsych, etc, the less boring the better
i don't really think it's a top level cope, but whatever works
