my thing is, even if I wanted to cook for myself, my mother will be annoyed if I'm in the kitchen taking up space especially if she intends to cook at that moment
I make pancakes, eggs, peanut butter sandwiches, stir fried vegetables, and salads. I used to make hamburgers but I stopped eating meat. I can probably learn to make almost anything.

I do, I had to learn when I moved out. It's a great skill to have. However, I find the prep, process, and cleanup to be far too much effort.
