Cooking is a nice cope. Figured I’d start a thread on any recipes and food hacks you guys might have.

Budget friendly and easy meals are preferred

If you put noodles, sauce packet, and water in microwave for 3 minutes. You make yummy Ramen Noodle.

You’re asian? I only know Asians who add veggies and an egg to their ramen.

10 tbs soy sauce
10 ts sesame soil
5-10 cloves garlics
5-10 chopped green onions
2 ts sugar or honey
1 tbs hot pepper flakes (or whatever you have)
---> Just mix it all and pour it over:
Sliced tofu
Fried in a pan for around 5-7 minutes per side
Seasoned with chicken bouillon

Good meal, fast, tasty and enough SOY to trigger the MAGA hats and JBP cultists. Enjoy!

Using sesame oil is high IQ

Half Filipino, so technically yes. Culture is way more hispanic than it is asian tho. They just group us with asians because, like curries, we outperform in white collar occupations and don’t need AA

Nacho hack— make nachos, but use doritos instead

Forgot that I usually add sesame seeds at the end as well.
And personally I use less sugar than 2ts, but most people actually use more sugar for that sauce.
Oh well. Shrugs.

A weird food I used to make a lot was battered bread. Basically, get a couple of slices of bread, make a batter using flour, eggs and milk, pour it over the bread and coat both sides, then deep fry it until the batter is crispy. I usually just seasoned it with salt, but I put curry sauce on it once and it was pretty good. I also made it using a tempura batter once using corn flour, soda water and a little baking soda. It was nice.
