Contributing to society is a politically correct way of saying ”you are a pathetic slave and the sole purpose or your miserable existence is to benefit other people”.

I would also note that most of us do get "something in return" for taxation in the form of essential infrastructure. However, I don't believe that I have a moral obligation to contribute anything more than said taxation.

The problem with "contributing to society" is that normies generally believe such a contribution not only requires law-abiding behaviour but also socially normative behaviour. This leads normies to the conclusion that all socially awkward and nonconforming individuals must be morally defective. They fail to consider that such awkwardness and nonconformity may at least partially stem from institutional failures on society's part. Nor do they consider that socially normative behaviour is not necessarily rational behaviour.
