If you're still somewhat not completely set on roping, one thing that I found out that worked for me is getting a job. I basically had to restart my life at early 30s though. A job affords me copes and keeps me more occupied. Boredom is truly a bitch and can bring many negative emotions like sadness, hopelessness, tiredness, irritability.
